David is the founder and President of Total Cover IT. David’s career is comprised of a unique mixture of financial and technology positions. He began his professional career as Assistant to the Controller for a New Jersey-based community bank. During his period at the bank, David took an interest in computer technology and it became a very enjoyable hobby. He brought some of that passion to his daily work, where he transitioned manual accounting processes to computer spreadsheets. When the bank decided to merge into a larger bank, David made a decision to make the transition from accounting to computer technology full-time.
The transition was challenging, but David was ultimately successful. He now has over 15 years of experience in the technology field, with his most recent role as IT Director for a New Jersey-based mid-size accounting firm. David transformed the firm’s technology infrastructure from antiquated, unreliable hardware to enterprise-grade architecture. Downtime was minimized and efficiency increased. When the firm decided to move their headquarters to a new location, David lead a project to transition the firm’s computer systems and network infrastructure to the new headquarters office with minimal downtime.
David has been an invited speaker to the North Essex Chamber of Commerce and various other organizations, and sits on the technology committee for the Somerset County Business Partnership. He enjoys golf, fitness, chess, reading and spending time with family and friends.
